Perusei Bridge Concept by TheEnderling Perusei Bridge Concept by TheEnderling
Project: The Enderling (Game)

The Perusei Bridge. Early concepts for the walk way which is about 1'100 ft from the sea below. Nothing too amazing; photoshop and 6 hours on my backside. Feedback is welcome.

Updated after 47ness's comment. (Thanks chap)

I really like what you did with the light, gorgeous palette and overall texture. The only thing I would say is, it's such a huge bridge it would be nice to get that sense of vertigo and danger being so close to the edge. I see you have the birds in the mid ground for some nice scale but I think it could really add to it if you could give a sense of just how high the bridge is by maybe giving the impression of where the base of it would be? Possibly you could move the bridge to the right or just draw a bigger version? (yep more of the painting please;p) Just a thought. Hope it's useful. Love it though!

:) thank you I'm glad you liked it. It was painted on that angle because the size has been mapped out in other concepts which aren't here that's all :) this is just to show the design of the walk way. There's a lot on this project I am keeping to myself as I hope to go into products one day ^_^ but thank you for pointing it out!

I like the aged look of the bridge. :> The fact that it's so massive suggests it was originally built by a race of colossi...

Wondering if you could add more atmosphere to the scene as it recedes into the background...? The landmass on the other end of the bridge seems confusing, too, with one side being less shrouded in fog than the other.

I love the grass textures; I wonder if you could somehow use it to frame your hero silhouette? He's rather hard to see amongst the dark stones. The flock of birds near the top could also be placed out in the open sky; it helps balance the scene more too.
